American Gangster & the Biodome
So, Friday we saw American Gangster, it was pretty good, a little too violent in some scenes but a good story anyway.
On Sunday we had some passes for the Biodome, so we hit that up. It’s always fun to go there, kind of like a mini zoo, with 4 ecosystems to sustain differnt animals in each one. It’s pretty neat they’re free to roam around, to a point anyway… the birds fly overhead anyway.

Thursday Update
So, what’s been happening this week?
I’ll start with last weekend, on Saturday there was a Meetup at a Portuguese restaurant & Karaoke bar. Michael’s a fan of karaoke, but I’d never done it before (I’d been to places, I just never sang). The dinner itself was pretty good & inexpensive; I had shrimp brochettes with rice, fries & salad & Michael had calamari. We also shared a pitcher of beer… to help the singing along ;)
And we did sing! Michael was up first in the group (there were about 24 people or so in our group) & opened the show with Stealers Wheel, Stuck in the Middle With You. I sang a song with another girl in the group then later sang The Eurythmics, Missionary Man on my own. It was a lot of fun actually, singing & seeing everyone get up on the floor to give it a shot.
Tomorrow night we’ll be going to see American Gangster (Russell Crowe, Denzel Washington), I’ll comment on that later. Have a good weekend!
